Week 18

We are in the full throes of enjoying the coming spring, taking walks, seeing our first crocuses, and being impatient when rain keeps us in.

The girls just continue to charm us. The smiles, the cooing. They're starting to play more and be interested in toys, especially mirrors. We've taken them out more, too. Out to eat, where, as long as they are fed first, they are quite pleasant. I've been taking them regularly to the Heights Parent Center on Wednesdays, which is quite a gem of a resource. About 10 other parents with babies from birth to 12 months meet in the morning. Last week, when it was so beautiful, we had an outing to the Nature Center in Shaker Heights. It was rather adorable, seeing this parade of 8 or so parents with strollers and carriers loop around the paths.

Roxy has made quite the turnaround from sulking recluse to supernanny. She's very interested in the babies. Whenever they cry, she stares intently at us until we fix it. She often likes to just lay her chin across their legs or belly when they are laying down. Here, she lets us know that Lillian needs a bath.

In this, Roxy and Naomi had been sweetly napping together, but of course woke up when I got up to get the camera.

And, lastly, here's a Lillian smile to help your day along.
