Mini Post

Literally. Posting from my new iPad mini that William got me for valentines day. Let's take this baby for a spin, shall we?

We took the girls back to the art museum this weekend because its totally amazing. Then we raved about it at anyone who would listen. Seriously. If you live within an hour of here and you haven't been yet, I don't know why you're still reading this. It's open late on Wednesday. And Friday. Go.

The girls have been delightful this long weekend. They have been playing together so well and being funny and cute. Lots of rounds of "Baby Bumblebee" and pretend trips to the beach. This involves packing purses and bags, finding sunglasses and sitting on the stairs for a while. Then they reemerge, chirping "Hi, Momma! Hi, Daddy! We're back."

Enjoying the view. It's not just the art that's beautiful.

Groundhogs and Other Ridiculously Cute Things

First, we have Naomi, checking out her shadow at the Groundhog's Day Celebration at the Naural History Museum last weekend.  It turns out we really like that place.  So do Nat and Amanda, whose family we serendipitously stumbled upon in the planetarium show that day.  The museum had a whole slew of groundhog and hibernation themed activities.  I was only slightly saddened to realize that none of these involved napping.  But the girls made little passports to track their activities throughout the day, gathering stamps as they completed each one.  We dug like groundhogs in shredded newspaper, petted a skunk, saw groundhog skulls, Naomi got her face painted and we saw a presentation with Lake Erie Eddie, our hometown version of Punxatawny Phil.  Eddie likes bananas.

Here is Lillian, visiting with the turtle.  After Eddie's show, I took Lillian to the restroom while everyone else finished up their lunch.  Upon returning, Lillian dashed back into the auditorium, arms akimbo, shouting for all the world, "I peed, everyone!!!"

I was more than slightly disappointed that the entire remaining audienc did not break into a round of applause.

Both girls trying out a future as archeologists.

This weekend, we returned to Lake Farm Park for more adventures.  Lillian was the navigator. Naomi needs to learn to keep her eyes on the road.

It's baby animal season at farm park again!  Here, for your viewing pleasure are pictures of insane cuteness.  These lambs were born the night before we were there.  They were all wobbly legs

Piglets.  I'd like the one on the left, please.

And lastly,  a lamb-butt.  Lillian took this picture on my camera without me realizing.  I happen to really like the composition.
