Busy, busy bees

We're still here!  It's sunny and warm these days, which means we're not in with the computer.  We're out, blowing bubbles, swinging, puffing dandelions, attempting to ride tricylces and going to birthday parties.  It's a rough life, I tell you.
The girls seem to enjoy nothing more than being outside, talking a walk or playing the yard.  Here's Naomi, distributing weed seeds all over the neighborhood.

What else?  It's hard going 9 days between posts.  I don't know how to capture all the little moments and stories. There are so many, each day.

We went to Jeff's first birthday party today (Jeff's the second son of one of the Dinner Swap ladies, for those of you who keep track of these sorts of things.) and the ladies loved it.  After the first five minutes in which they were paralyzed by shyness, that is.  This happened last week at Ivy's 2nd birthday as well.  (Yep.  Ivy's two.  How is this going so fast???) Naomi buries herself in the neck of whoever's caryying her and puts her hand over her eyes.  It's a classic "I can't see you so you can't see me kind of move."  But they warmed up quickly, definately aided by the fact that there was a beach and playground.  The water was chilly, but they didn't care.  They leapt in and out of the water, shouting "Ta-Da!" at each splashy landing.  They were very excited about the cupcakes, of course.  Lillian was licking the paper liner, getting frosting on her forehead, entertaining the masses.  At some point, she realized that the cupcake had a purpose and began exclaiming "Oh!  Birthday!  Happy Birthday!  Yayy!  Happy Birthday, Mama!"  Cupcakes and birthdays are synonymous, it turns out.

We're counting down days until summer, here, so hopefully posting gets more regular soon.  Until then, go blow some bubbles.  It's fun.
